Tahmineh is the princess of Samangan. Rostam is a guest for one night, looking for Rakhsh, who has been stolen. She comes to him after dark, says who she is, says she has heard about him all her life, and says she wants a child by him. There is no coyness in it anywhere.

He is gone in the morning. He leaves an armband with her and tells her what to do with it if the child is a boy. She does exactly that, and the poem spends the next several thousand lines on what comes of it.
