Banu Goshasp is Rostam's daughter and Faramarz's sister, raised in the same house, on the same horses, to the same standard. The stories that carry her furthest are not in the Shahnameh proper but in the cycle that grew around it, where she throws suitors and rides out on her own account.
The family is the point. Nobody in it is a civilian.
