Sahi
سهی
Iraj's wife, named after the cypress.
Sarv, the king of Yemen, had three daughters and did not want to part with them. When Fereydun's envoy came to ask for all three, one for each prince, Sarv tried riddles and then magic to keep them. The princes saw through both.
The youngest sister married the youngest brother, Iraj. Fereydun had named his sons only after testing them, and he named their brides on the same day. He called her Sahi, which means tall and straight. It is the word Persian poets use for a cypress.
